So, how can you memorize the blackjack cheat sheet chart? First of all you need to learn the terminologies that come with the blackjack basic strategy - Hit or Stand, Double Down, Split or Surrender. That said, you should never opt for any of bets:

Surrendering

You have two options here: The Early Surrender and the Late Surrender. The Early Surrender can successfully lessen house edge to 0.63%. Splitting Cards

Doubling Down

Doubling Down or ‘The Money Move’ allows you to double down during your gameplay so that you can make double your profit. This means that you are allowed to place a second bet depending on the odds of winning the game. Additionally, doubling down can lessen the house edge to 0.13% and 0.42%. Naturally, this very much depends on the blackjack game you’re playing. For example, if you double down on 10 or 11, the house edge will increase to 0.21% and 0.76%.

So, the question should you double down? The short answer is yes; the more detailed answer centers around when you choose to do it. First and foremost, you need to keep in mind that blackjack is still a game of chance and it all depends on the mathematical calculations of the game. Simply put, only double down when you’re absolutely sure that the dealer will go bust. Here are more tips that can help you:

• Hard 9 when the dealer has 3-6
• Hard 10 (not when the dealer shows A or 10)
• Hard 11 (not when the dealer shows A)
• Soft 13-14 when the dealer has 5-6
• Soft 15-16 when the dealer has 4-6
• Soft 17-18 when the dealer has 3-6

Standing

This is the last step in the blackjack basic strategy. Should you opt to Stand, this means that you’re not interested in additional cards.
